Q & A with Jack Capewell

We caught up with Jack Capewell, one of our newest members to Team Wrangler & Twisted X. Did you know Jack is a six-time NRA Saddle Bronc Champion? He also has a NRA All Round Cowboy title too. But not only is he talented in the rodeo arena, he has his own blacksmith business, Capewell Custom Spurs & Knives.

Wrangler (WR): How did it all begin for Jack, tell us the story of how you got into Saddle Bronc?

Jack Capewell (JC): I got started in rodeo at a young age. It began with riding calves, then moving onto other events, such as Saddle Bronc, which is my main focus these days.

WR: How would you describe yourself in 5 words?

JC: Have a never quit attitude!

WR: Who have been your biggest influences?

JC: I have a few, but Frank Green has played a huge part and was someone I really looked up to in the sport of rodeo, he is very dedicated in everything he does and that’s what it takes to be successful in any sport.

WR: Most memorable moment in Saddle Bronc?

JC: So far in my career, that moment would definitely be winning at the Sydney Show, such a great event and the atmosphere is electric.

WR: Tell us a Fun Fact about you?

JC: I enjoy fishing and hunting between rodeos.

WR: What advice would you like to give the younger generations starting out in Saddle Bronc?

JC: Whatever you invest your time & energy into, you will reap the benefits.

WR: What is your best fashion tip?

JC: Ha-ha only fashion tip I’ve got is: wear Wrangler!!

WR: What’s coming up for the remainder of 2023?

JC: I’d love to win an Xtreme Broncs buckle and go to the Xtreme Broncs Finals, that’s my goal I’ve set for the remainder of 2023. I really enjoy these great events.
